What Adwalton Means to Me 9 of 17

9. Vicky Haigh

Q1, How did you come to Adwalton.
I grew up in the village and used to knock about there as a kid/teenager with my friends but drifted away as I got older only to get back involved when I joined Drighlington Dragons

Q2, What made you stay.
It is great for families as well as having some adult time which is stumbling distance from my house.

Q3, Who has influenced you or how was your life affected by Adwalton.
Adwalton gave me a safe place to be a kid which is something to be treasured.

Q4, Highs & Lows of your time at Adwalton.
Organising the outdoor comedy night was a particle high (except when I broke the lighting with my bum!). A low point for me was leaving the Drighlington Dragons Rounders Team.

Q5, Significant memories.
Birthday parties for my niece's at the club, partially Emma's first birthday when I was roped into doing face painting for the first time.

Q6, Friends made.
I have made some great friends, some of them are lifelong friends such as Emma Cooper and Julie Garth

Q7, Funniest moment.
Playing rounders, I was running for a ball and ended up aquaplaning across the field doing a 180' flip in the air and ended up face first in the water/grass. I was so wet you could wring out every item of clothing I was wearing! It was definitely entertains for everyone who watched it.

Q8, How has your family been involved.
If the club needs a hand with something I usually rope my husband Andrew into it (not that he has an option), it is also the place my brother Chris Priestley still plays cricket as well as coach the All Star Kids team.

Q9,Hopes / thought for the future.
Adwalton is a wonderful facility and I hope it keeps the same ethos for the next 150 years, this is what makes it special along with the booze prices.

Q10, Most annoying person in club !
My brother Chris!
