Only four weeks after their last visit to Hunslet Nelson, the second eleven found themselves again visiting a side that were now sitting top of the fourth division. After a punishing performance at Nelson's hands in the last match Adwalton were out for revenge, but alas, rain was to quickly put pay to any such opportunities.
After slowly raining for the majority of the morning it continued once the two teams had arrived at the ground. The pitch itself had held up well, but the falling rain made it impossible to start. Initial the Hunslet Nelson captain was defiant. Hoping the rain would subside and they would be able to push for six points. But eventually even he had to admit as the rain began to get worse that there was little chance of the surface being playable in the required time. Both captains agreed that there was little chance of play and the match was abandoned at 2pm.
